As you may know, we have been running the StopFalls Campaign since 2017, which includes plenty of resources and education opportunities for those working with vulnerable adults within the Adult Social Care sector.
We have been funded to support a number of Care Homes and hope you see this as the perfect opportunity for us to support you and your residents to reduce falls risk.
What will you get?
Fully funded Lite Bite training sessions for your staff covering:
- Falls Prevention
- Falls Intervention – How to best manage a fall?
Sessions will take place in your home, up to twice per day and will last 2.5 hours.
Please note that each session must have a minimum of 8 people and up to a maximum of 15 people; when selecting dates please bear this in mind. The number of days spent at your home will depend on the size of your team (maximum 3 days).
We will arrange a pre-discussion or meeting with the manager to assess your service and develop a falls action plan.
The home will not only receive the expertise from HCPA’s falls lead but also updates with new evidence-based assessments and tools.
